Account Segregation
For hosting infrastructure, Virtru uses cloud service providers, primarily Amazon Web Services (AWS.) Virtru uses individual accounts for different environments and functions. Each account is considered self contained, not requiring any other to operate in a static state.
Supporting accounts are provided to gate access and providing supporting functionality to other individual accounts. While the risk of account compromise is low due to the numerous security controls implemented by both Virtru and our cloud service providers, the risk of impact is further lowered by segregating resources in this manner. Should an account be compromised, only a small portion of Virtru's services would be impacted.
